In my lifetime, I have had the pleasure of living with four cats, but we have just one now! Ollie is the most gentle, loving little cat, over seventeen years old now but he still looks like a kitten, and is certainly as agile! He adores lounging around in the sunshine, usually in next door's garden, and he loves a snuggle on my lap and a blast of Reiki, and won't stand any nonsense from our dogs - cats rule!
I have found that the best way to work with animals is through a distance treatment. This sounds very bizarre and whacky but distance treatments work brilliantly and is the way I have chosen to work with all animals.
Anyone who has a cat knows how important it is for them to have human touch and cuddles .... and pampering! Using Reiki for cats is a lovely way of doing just that, as well as helping with supporting them during times when they are not feeling quite themselves.
It is extremely important that you seek veterinary advice and attention for any sick animal prior to starting any Reiki treatments. Reiki is a complementary therapy that can be used alongside conventional veterinary treatment and medication, but not as a substitute. If your cat is showing signs of illness, your first contact must be with your vet.
