Reiki Training Courses
Once you have experienced receiving Reiki you may well decide that you would like to learn to use it for yourself.
A Reiki training course at the first degree - Level 1, is mainly about you! Being attuned to the energy for the first time and becoming accustomed to the feel of the Reiki energy. Then learning how to use it for your own self-healing, and beginning to use it to help others.
Reiki training at second degree - Level 2, develops your ability to connect to the energy, being attuned to the symbols, discovering what they represent and the ways that they can be used, learning how to 'send' Reiki through distance healing, and beginning to develop your own intuition when healing.
Reiki at third degree - Level 3 is the Master Level, it brings the use of the master symbol and reinforces everything that you have learned at first and second degree, but develops your understanding further, allowing you to use more advanced techniques. The Master Level is separated into two strands: Level 3A Master Practitioner, and Level 3B: Master Teacher.
At Master Teacher Level (3B) you will be attuned to two more symbols of Tibetan origin that will give you the ability to attune other people to Reiki and for sharing your knowledge with others. The course is similar to an apprenticeship worked through over a period of time to suit you, although not less than 6 months, where you have practical and theory aspects, and a set of assignments to complete. You will have the opportunity to plan and deliver training modules for yourself, and part of this will include assessment and reflection.
Level 1 Training Course Details
Reiki First Degree (Level 1) is a two-day course, giving over twelve hours of contact time with me. Or it can be done as a 4-week Modular format giving the same contact time. The course has been designed aiming to take account of the Core Curriculum for Reiki which is underpinned by the National Occupational Standards for Complementary Therapy. I have tried to build in as much time as possible to give you maximum opportunity for practising working with the energy for yourself, and also with other people.
Reiki at the first degree is mainly about you developing yourself and becoming accustomed to using the energy for your own self-healing, and beginning to use it to help others.
The aim for the Level One training is:
- To introduce you to Reiki and its history.
- To attune you to Reiki and for you to make the connection with the energy.
- To introduce you to the practice of Reiki for your own self-healing.
- To introduce you to giving Reiki to other people.
Following the attunement process you will begin to:
- Develop your sensitivity to the flow of energy.
- Begin to learn how to use the energy for your own self-healing, and for others.
- Develop your ability to channel the energy and starting to trust in your own intuitive abilities.
- Learn to focus your attention and drop into the ‘now’ moment so allowing yourself to be a clear channel for the energy flow.
By the end of the second day you will be able to give yourself a treatment, know how to give a seated and a full treatment to another person, and have a range of techniques that you can use when you are using Reiki. You will also receive your Level One Certificate.
Once you have completed the training, you won't be on your own. I will be there to support you and answer any questions or queries that you have to help you while you are learning.

Next steps: After your Level 1 course
Following your course I would encourage you to self-treat as often as possible – try really hard to self-treat every day at least for the first 21 days, this doesn’t have to be a long treatment, even just ten minutes a day will make all the difference and strengthen your connection to the energy. I would also recommend that you keep a log of any treatments that you have done for yourself, other people or animals. There is no formal requirement for any case studies to be completed at this stage, but it is useful to highlight any areas that you want to clarify, and also enable you to share your experiences with others during future training.
If you do decide to be attuned to Second Degree Reiki (Level 2) and onto the pathway for a Practitioner Certificate, your log will provide the evidence of what you have practised, learned during your use of Reiki, and the time that you have spent actually using Reiki for yourself and others, and count towards the activities that are necessary to complete the Level 2 Practitioner course.
The cost for this two-day course is £170 (this includes a comprehensive course manual).

Next steps: Progressing on to Reiki Second Degree (Level 2) where you will be able to develop your practice by using the symbols that you will be attuned to, and this will include being able to do distance treatments.
Level 2 Course Details
Reiki at Level 2 is a two-day course with over twelve hours of contact time with me, it can also be done as a 4-week modular format. The course is designed aiming to take account of the Core Curriculum for Reiki which is underpinned by the National Occupational Standards for Complementary Therapy, and to give you maximum opportunity for developing your use of the energy for yourselves and for others. I have also separated the Level 2 training into two parts:
Level 2 Attunement and Skills Workshop: This will give you the benefit of being attuned to the three symbols and developing your skills and knowledge, and you can then continue to use Reiki for yourself, family and friends.
Practitioner Certificate: This is the minimum requirement if you want to go on to work professionally, and charge for the treatments that you do.
At Level 2 you are attuned to three of the Reiki symbols and this will bring a much deeper connection to the energy, and to your higher self. Each symbol represents a different aspect of the energy and you will discover how the energy of each symbol feels and learn how to use them individually and altogether.
LEVEL 2 Attunement and Skills Workshop: Two-Day course, 10am to 5:30pm on both days. PRICE: £180 (includes a comprehensive course manual)
The aim for this Level 2 Attunement and Skills Workshop is:
- To recap on topics covered during the Level 1 training.
- To introduce you to the symbols and mantras, and give you the opportunity to practise using them on yourself and others.
- To introduce you to distance treatments.
- To help you develop your own intuition further.
- To introduce you to techniques appropriate to Level 2 work.
By the end of the two-day workshop you will understand what the three symbols mean and explored how to use them individually and altogether. You will have practised doing distance treatments using a teddy bear as a surrogate, and will have begun to develop your own psychic ability by tuning into another person via a photograph. You will also have practised using a pendulum to check chakras and meridians for balance.
A certificate showing that you have done Reiki Level 2 training will be issued at the end of the two-day course, but please note that this will NOT give you Practitioner status.

COURSE DATES

PRACTITIONER CERTIFICATE:
There is an additional fee of £120 on top of the Attunement and Skills Workshop and covers the cost of the Practitioner Preparation Mentoring Session, marking of case studies and the theory exam. I will also be available to support you and for you to ask any questions that you have via email or phone. Separate one-to-one mentoring sessions will also be available if needed at an additional cost.
This element of the Level 2 training will lead you to Practitioner Certification and will involve:
- Attending a separate half-day Practitioner Preparation Mentoring session that will give you the criteria for meeting the requirements of Practitioner status and activities you can do to meet this criteria.
- Completing a set of ten case studies.
- Commitment to developing yourself further through private study.
All requirements need to be met to before a Practitioner Certificate can be issued.
It is expected that this element of the Level 2 training will take at least 9 to 12 months to complete, but you will be able to work at your own pace so it doesn't matter if it takes slightly longer.

Level 3 Training Course
The Master Level is separated into two strands: Master Practitioner (3A) and Master Teacher (3B).
MASTER PRACTITIONER:
The Level 3A Attunement and Skills Workshop is open to anyone who has already been attuned at Level 2, irrespective of whether you have gained a Practitioner Certificate or not.
During this course you will be attuned to the Master symbol and learn new skills that are appropriate at Level 3 which will develop your use of Reiki further.
You may have realised right from being attuned at Level 1 that you only want to use Reiki just for yourself, family and friends, and don't want to work professionally. This is absolutely fine, you can still have the benefit of being attuned to the Master symbol, which will enhance your use of Reiki. You will still receive a certificate of attendance reflecting that you have been attuned to the Master symbol but that this is not a Master Practitioner Certificate.
If you have already completed your ten case studies at Level 2 and satisfied the criteria of Practitioner Certificate, you will automatically be awarded a Master Practitioner Certificate.
If you are in the process of working through your Level 2 Practitioner apprenticeship, your certificate will reflect that your Master Practitioner Certificate is pending, and this will be awarded on successful completion of your apprenticeship.

As part of your training you will be attuned to two more symbols of Tibetan origin that will allow you to be able to attune other people to Reiki, and you will learn and practise this process.
This course is similar to an apprenticeship where you work through a series of written assignments and practical activities over a period of around 6 months but longer if you need.
You will have the opportunity to recap on what you have learned so far, learn the process of attunement for all four levels of Reiki, healing attunements, empowerments, self-empowerments, plan and deliver modules through a provided training opportunity, assess student progress, evaluate activities, and reflect on your own practise.
